Allie is a copywriter.
She likes words.

As a person who menstruates, I had grown quite weary of traditional period ads.

You know the ones I’m talking about: cloyingly peppy with shiny, smiling girls wearing pink sports bras and white tennis skirts, doing the splits mid-air. These don’t reflect my period. My period is war.

Explosive cramps, onslaught from Aunt Flo, your panties on the front lines flanked by a pad trying to save your favorite pair of jeans.

So, I decided to co-opt the concept of war.

Instead of pink sports bras and splits mid-air, we’ve shifted the tone and used the most recognizable war paintings to depict the oldest battle in history — menstruation.

EVENTUS

EVENTUS

Eventus was looking for a total brand overhaul.

The brief: MadMen/Wolf of Wall Street meets family man. The client wanted the confident swagger of Don Draper and Jordan Belfort balanced with their own humble approach to newsletter ad sales.
Juxtaposition at its finest.

The result: A bold website that highlights our client’s expertise while harkening back to the vibes of the Golden Era of Wall Street and Madison Avenue.

As the North America copywriter, I was responsible for all things copy; blog posts, ad campaigns, customer newsletters, landing pages, and sales emails.

Campaigns ranged across our product offering: messaging, email, AI chatbots, and voice.

Trust me, if I can write about B2B customer cloud comms, I can handle anything you throw at me.

Video Marketing

A few highlights from my post-graduate freelancing years. From outward facing promos for The International Center and Girls Inc. to internal hype videos for a real estate firm's annual conference, I developed the concepts and scripts for each project.

These gigs launched my love of scriptwriting and my eventual film career.
